High Tide Harbor Support

Every game has it’s bugs and my games are sadly not an exception. If there is something wrong with the game or you have trouble installing it, then please check the FAQ below. If that doesn’t help then email me directly at support@3dx-games.com.

I can’t install on MAC!

Did you download the MAC version? This is a .zip file and not a .exe file.

Did you unzip the downloaded file? To do this press the Control key and click on the file. Then go to Open With -> Archive Utility (default). Wait for the file to be unzipped and then drag the High Tide Harbor application to the Applications folder.

I get an error about an Unidentified Developer on MAC

This is because Apple doesn’t allow adult game developers to register with them. Follow Apple’s own instructions for a very simple fix here: https://support.apple.com/kb/ph18657.

I get compatibility errors on Windows!

Did you try downloading the other Windows version instead? We have one for 64 bit systems and one for 32 bit.

If this doesn’t work, then right click the .exe and go to Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab and select the checkbox Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 3).

The images look weird

Restart the game and select a Screen Resolution with a 16:9 ratio. These are all optimized resolutions:

  • 1920 x 1080
  • 1600 x 900
  • 1366 x 768

The other ratios are only available to prevent compatibility issues on specific, very old systems.

Where are save games stored?

The game saves in the usual location for games to save. On windows this is in the folder C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\3DX Games\High Tide Harbor

For MAC this is in the folder:  /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences
